For
many people today, the Christmas season consists of stuff that has
nothing to do with Christmas. For many in our world Christmas
is a time for vacation, family visits, remembering Santa, playing
in the snow, watching sentimental movies, and buying overpriced
toys.
But
this is not the message of Christmas. The message of Christmas
is that Jesus is come. The promise of peace with God has arrived in
the form of a baby boy.
Emmanuel
is here.

New Prayer Card
Our new
prayer card is done. You can see pictures here. If you would like a new
prayer card, please let us know.
New Supporters
Since
our last update God has brought us 9% closer to our first term by
providing one new church, one new family, and an increase from an
existing church.
Current Support
These
new commitments bring us to 71%.
Health and Safety
God
continues to grant us good health and safety to and from our
meetings.
Homeschooling
Our
homeschool efforts— though not painless—have been steadily improving.

Additional Supporters
We
earnestly pray that God will provide more financial supporters for
us in the coming days. We need 85% by the end of January to stay on
target for a May departure.
Gospel Advances
We
earnestly pray that the people of Peru will respond to the gospel.
90% of Peruvians do not trust in Jesus alone for salvation. The
needs are great.
Faithfulness
We
earnestly pray that we are faithful to accomplish the work that God
has given to us and that we will be ready to go when our finances
are raised.

A Christmas Wish
As we
come to this special time of year,
May
our minds still be focused, may our vision be clear.
As
we ponder the meaning of this season,
We
understand the reason that You came to earth as man.
It
was love that made the sacrifice.
It
was love that paid the awful price.
Oh,
may we not forget; Lord, help us to remember
That
Christ came to earth for more than just December.
His
birth prepared the way for His work on Calvary.
Our
Christmas wish is that we not forget God's love. Amen.

Milestones
We have
crossed some milestones in recent days.
One, we
have passed the 70% mark for the second time in the past months. We
are so thankful for how God continues to provide, even in the midst
of a difficult economy.
Two, we have now
had more than 150 meetings. We praise God for the many
opportunities we have had to meet godly men and women in many
different churches. As a result of our meetings, He has
brought us many prayer warriors. It has been a very busy
40 months on deputation, but God continues to provide. We are very
blessed and thankful for this opportunity to serve Him.

We
earnestly desire to be in language school in May, if that is what
God desires. Would you prayerfully consider driving us toward this
goal in any of these three ways?
PRAY: This is the most vital help you can offer. Please
ask God that the remaining 29% would arrive quickly so that the
purchase of tickets and the preparation for language school may
continue unhindered. Pray that God
would be magnified through each step before our
arrival. May God greatly utilize your prayerful involvement in this
transition. Would you pause and lift
us up before our God right now? Thank you.
PARTNER: Would you
prayerfully consider monthly or yearly contributions? We are so thankful for the
families and churches who have caught the
vision for reaching and equipping Peruvians with
the gospel. We
are in need of only $1500/month. If God would
compel you to contribute in this way, please click here, print off the page and submit it to the address on
the bottom of the form. Questions? Please email steinsinperu@gmail.com.
No financial commitment is too small.
PETITION: Recommend
partnership with us to the leadership of your church. Pastors are often excited to hear
from members that a particular mission field
became a burden of prayer or interest. God may use your referral to
help cement a life-long partnership between your church family and
us.

Thank
you for your faithful prayers for us. May God grant you a marvelous
Christmas season filled with glad tidings of great joy.
Until
all have heard,
